Winsdown Highlander

Highlander turned heads everywhere he showed with his extreme motion and upright way of going. Even out in the field he displays those wonderful attributes. We chose not to show Highlander past his Weanling year to develop strong herd behavior as he will be a pasture breeding stallion. Limited pasture breedings will be available in 2019 to Winsdown Highlander through various Limited Stakes programs. Please contact us before bidding for details. We are excited to see his first foal due the spring of 2019.
In the show ring Highlander burst on the scene at The All American Horse Classic by winning the Indiana Amateur Weanling Futurity. A few days later he went to The Iowa Fall Classic leaving not only the Champion Weanling Colt but also the Weanling Grand Championship. He finished the year with two more Grand Championships won at The Oklahoma and Kansas Futurities.

Highlander has an impressive pedigree. His sire is WC sire WC I’m First who is the sire of this year’s incredible World’s Champion Weanling Walterway’s First Responder. Other I’m First World’s Champion get include WC Caramel Popcorn, WC I’m Berry Tart, WC First Encore, WC Be The First, WC Stonecroft Royal Reflection and WC I’m First Born. His dam is the good show mare Delta Delta Delta by WC Delirium and out of the exciting CH Sweetheart of Sigma Phi from the family of Kendallview's Victory Belle which includes WC CH Net Worth, WCC CH Springtime Santana, RWC Galahad's G Willikers, WC sire Kinex and CH Absolute Empress. Delta has 41 Broodmare Hall of Fame mares in her 8 Generation Pedigree.  BHF Kate Haines probably the greatest dam of World Class breeding stallions in breed history. Kate Haines was the dam of WGC sire WGC Bourbon Genius, WC sire The Genius, WC sire Genius of Stonyridge, RWGC sire WC Leatherwood King, and WC sire Leatherwood Genius.
